英語エッセイ（トランプのポピュリズムについて）から英語を習得する！

今世界で問題となっていることといえば、アメリカトランプ大統領

の政策が世界に影響を及ぼしていることだと思います。

この政治の流れをポピュリズムともいわれていますが

こうした重要な時事ネタについて、英語で意見を求められたり

また自分の意見を英語で整理することは、英語スキルを高める

うえでとても重要になってきます。

そこで今回は重要な世界のテーマについて英語エッセイを書くことに

よって英語の習得につなげていきたいと思います。

 

ポピュリズムについての英語エッセイの書き方

英語でエッセイを書く時、どのように書いたら良いのか

迷うかと思います。

英語エッセイ独自の書き方というものがあります。

そこでまずエッセイを書き始めるときには序章

から始めます。

序章

Recently we are facing a lot of changes in the world.

There is a big change especially in the field of politics.

Since Trump administration was inaugurated, I feel that

the way of thinking about the politics of the world has changed.

本題（トランプ政権のポピュリズム政策について）

What kind of change is happening  now?

The Trump  administration emphasizes its own priority principle.

As a result, they emphasize anti – immigration, and with respect to trade,

they are steering the direction of protectionism denying free trade.

In other words, countries around the world also adopt protectionism

at the same time and take opposite policies against immigrants.

The movement of free people and the business are getting restricted.

As a background for promoting these policies, politicians claim to give priority

to preserving their own security and employment in their own country,

but at the same time there are concerns that free activities

and business of the world will be restricted.

And what is more worrying is the politicians are trying to withdraw

from important agreements such as global warming countermeasures,  a global

environmental problem to solve ,  in order to prioritize the interests

of their own country.

Ultimately, they insist on the reasons for protecting their economies

and for preventing terrorism, but I think that they are trying to

sacrifice important problems in the world.

結論（私の考え方について）

Politicians are apt to make  comfortable claims to voters

to win themselves, however we should have a broad perspective.

The world already has been  complicatedly connected in various fields,

I think that only the home country can not make profit.

Even though we have different opinions and ideas in society,

I think an ideal society is  everyone should be given a fair opportunity.

I understand there is no perfect society in the world, however

I think that cooperation from the world is indispensable

for solving the current problem.

Of course, I think it is important to build fair rules

in the world for that.

I think it is an ideal society everyone be given the opportunity to work on

and co-operate  regardless nationality and religion ,and that will be the key

to the world to improve in the future.

まとめ

このように、英語エッセイを書く時は、序章、本題、結論の順番で

文章を展開していくと自分がなにを主張したのかが、はっきりわかる

ようなエッセイになります。

要は自分が何を言いたいのか、最終的にわかるように展開していく

ことが大事なのです。

ポピュリズムといった難しい内容のテーマでも、上記のように簡単

な英語と文の構成で練習していくことで、普段のスピーキングにつながって

いくと思います。
